Our average temperature is 73 degrees; sea breezes maintain an average of 82 in summer and 63 in winter. Schools, businesses, shopping centers, and recreational areas are convenient to neighborhoods on both the mainland and the beachside. Restaurants are plentiful, traffic is light, golf courses and tennis courts are within easy access. Needless to say, we're one of the best-kept secrets on the East Coast.
Housing is very affordable, there is no state income tax, and the county offers a $25,000 homestead exemption for homeowners.
